Isle-aux-Coudres

Isle-aux-Coudres is a small municipality known for its bucolic landscapes, local products, and the hospitality of its residents. Accessible for free by ferry from Saint-Jean-de-la-Rive, the island is a paradise for cyclists. The place is also known for its ciders, which are worth stopping for a tasting.

 How To Get To Charlevoix


Car

Exploring the Charlevoix region by car is the most common and convenient option for getting around once you're there.

  • Montreal – Baie-Saint-Paul: About a 3h 40min drive
  • Quebec City – Baie-Saint-Paul: Just over a 1-hour drive

Via Rail Train

You can take the Via Rail train between Montreal and Quebec City.

  • Montreal – Quebec City: 3 hours and 30 minutes

Afterward, you can take the Train de Charlevoix from Quebec City to stop at various locations in Charlevoix. More details below.

Bus

You can travel to Baie-Saint-Paul by bus with Orléans Express.

Note that all departures from Montreal involve a connection in Quebec City.

  • Montreal – Quebec City: between 3 hours and 15 minutes and 4 hours
  • Quebec City – Baie-Saint-Paul: 1 hour and 15 minutes

Train de Charlevoix

The Charlevoix Train is a bucolic experience that allows you to travel 125 km between Quebec City and La Malbaie, along the Saint Lawrence River, to observe the beauty of the landscapes.Train and accommodation packages available.

  • Quebec City – Baie-Saint-Paul: about 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • Quebec City – La Malbaie: about 3 hours and 45 minutes
